On February 24, 2022, Mr. Viboon Kromadit, Director and Chief Marketing Officer of Amata Corporation Public Company Limited, along with Mr. Aukkares Choochuay, Managing Director of Amata Facility Service Co., Ltd., signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Smart Mobility Project.

This project focuses on clean energy public transportation services within Amata City Industrial Estate in Chonburi, in collaboration with Banpu NEXT Co., Ltd., a leading provider of smart clean energy solutions in Thailand and the Asia-Pacific region. The goal is to explore the feasibility of integrating electric vehicle technology and energy management through energy optimization projects, energy storage systems, and smart energy technology innovations, with a project timeline of 24 months.
.
Amata aims to use the findings from this study to further develop the industrial estate in the future, with Amata City Chonburi serving as a pilot area for the transition to a smart city. The MOU signing took place at the Amata Service Center in Amata City Chonburi.
.
Initially, Banpu NEXT has introduced 4 electric tuk-tuks, branded "MuvMi," to provide shuttle services for workers in the commercial zone at the front of Amata City Chonburi.

.

These tuk-tuks will operate on routes to various locations such as Vibhavadi Amata Hospital, banks, and Lotus shopping malls. Users can simply download the MuvMi app, register with their phone number, and immediately book a ride. The fare starts at 10 Baht per trip.

.

Since these tuk-tuks run entirely on electricity, they ensure safety for passengers while being environmentally friendly.
