Amata regularly holds the Amata City Charity Run and during the event it applies the principles of the circular economy, which was most recently applied in the Amata City Charity Run 2019. Part of the circular economy principle, as applied to the event, included reusing quality surplus fabrics from the manufacturing process of the factories to be recycled to produce shirts for runners with the purpose of reducing energy consumption, chemicals, and carbon emissions. Some 5,200 athletes participated in the event and joined together to reduce carbon emissions by 5,668 KgCO2 or the total equivalent to driving a distance of 47,580 km.
In addition, Amata also organizes various activities to reduce global warming at the event!!
For example, applications are accepted through the online system by reducing the use of paper by 100%, reducing the use of plastic at the event, campaigning for the use of cloth bags, using containers from bagasse for food, and promoting the separation of waste according to the 3R principles, etc.
